Where is it?

The cemetery is located on The Ghost House Trail in the Big Ridge State Park located at 1015 Big Ridge Park Road, Maynardville, TN 37807. The Clinton/Norris exit 122 off I-75.

Interesting...

This particular cemetery comes with its own ghost story. There are several incarnations of the tale but here's how I have heard it and repeat it. Maston Hutchison and his family lived here. At some point his daughter, Nancy, became ill with tuberculosis.
Some friends of the family were coming up the trail to the Hutchison house to visit with the poor sick child when they heard the cries of a woman and the sound of a dog running down the trail towards them and then suddenly it was gone. When they soon reached the house they were informed that Nancy had died just moments before their arrival.

It is said that you can still hear the cries of the young girl and see the ghost of the very same dog to this day (I have no idea where the dog came from). Its also said that the ghost of Maston walks the trails of Big Ridge searching for his daughter and even greets some of the visitors to the park. He is said to be a kind man... or spirit.

Although it didn't work for me, many say that pictures taken at the cemetery reveal the ghostly images of the Hutchison ghosts.
